Layman’s CPR AED and first aid all ages 95$ Online portion of the training to be completed via Red Cross link prior to the in person portion of the training

The video portion of the training is completed online via direct link and the hands on training and test out is completed in person for most of our Red Cross trainings


Clients preferring to complete all the training in person, you provide the classroom space, TV, DVD with working remote and an average of 4 hours depending on class size.

Just the basics, pricing, location

Just the basics, location, type of lessons, prices for swim lessons and Red Cross trainings.

Locations, summer Hotel pools if available, some area lakes. School year, We use area hotel pools based on availability in Alexandria, Sauk Centre, Wadena, Perham, Brainerd. As we add clients we may add locations. Lesson prices do not include pool fees for the client or parent. See additional policies at the bottom. As a mobile swim school squid school picks the day or days and pool or lake that lessons are available in any given community, based on pool availability and clientele. 


Perpetual lessons 1 lesson per week for 6,9 or 12 months, custom lessons are 35 minutes long 125$ a month. Spotlight lessons are 40 minutes long 150$ per month



Self-rescue only lessons these lessons are for kids actively participating in typical group lessons thru other programs. The lessons focus only on self rescue skills (not taught in typical lessons) 30 minute lessons 1 time per week. 4 lessons 120$



Custom lessons is 1 student 202 dollars 6, 35 minute lessons. 404 dollars for 12, 35 minute lessons. 808 dollars for 18, 35 minute lessons. When the addition of a second instructor is deems necessary by squid school for client safety and or lesson progression the cost is 120$ or 20$ per lesson.

Spotlight is 2 students 240 dollars 6, 40 minute lessons, 480 dollars for 12, 40 minute lessons, 720 dollars for 18, 40 minute lessons. When the addition of a second instructor is deems necessary by squid school for client safety and or lesson progression the cost is 120$ or 20$ per lesson.    

Family lessons are 6, 40 minute lessons at 120 dollars per child. No fee for parents, they are responsible for paying the fees into the pool.

Mermaid academy  is 4 students 132$ each 4, 40 minute lessons, plus the cost of the tail and fin which are custom ordered by squid school prices vary. Prerequisite swim test required. For safety a minimum of 12 lessons is recommended. Some kids may need more. 


We also offer private and small group burst lessons which are 4, 45 minute lessons on 4 consecutive days or prescheduled days. The private lessons are 175 dollars.
Small group price is 80 dollars per student for 6 thru 8 students, Medium  groups 9 or more are 70 dollars per student are 4 45 minute lessons.
Small group, babies just getting use to their first couple of lessons are 6 30 minute lessons for 70 dollars or 80 dollars depending on number of students.
There can not be more than 2 years gap between the oldest and youngest child in a class, classes are typically 4 to 6 kids.
Squid school reserves the right to have the final say in group size and or age gap to make sure each child gets the most out of each lesson and no one gets held back to accommodate a child or children at a lower skill level. 

Large group lessons, Groups of 30 kids or more are 65 dollars per person, 6, 45 minute lessons. Our lessons are scheduled as needed. Kids of similar swim skills will be paired together in a group. The group lessons are no more than 6 kids with 1 instuctor.
*All lesson prices will have a 25 dollar fee added to cover travel expenses, when we travel outside of our pool areas. Contact us at 320-266-5733 with any fee questions.


Red Cross trainings (in home) start at 108 dollars for layman's cpr, aed and first aid and goes up as more training is added, ie professional level, blood borne pathogens etc. Education for all babysitting class starts at 140 dollars and goes up as more training is added. Life guarding starts at 275 dollars and goes up as more training is added. 
*All Red Cross training has a 20 dollar added fee when we travel more than 1 hour from our home. Contact us at 320-266-5733 with any fee questions 

Swim lesson prices do not include the admission to the pool for the child or parent and are non-refundable. Unused custom or spotlight lessons will be held for 45 days when families stay in contact with their instructor. We do not do lessons on Holidays. During the school year no lessons are done after noon on Fridays, Saturday's and Sundays mornings as hotel pools are typically not available. If your instructor is out of the water for more than 2 weeks, lessons will be held for 30 days after you have been notified by mail, email, text, phone, messenger or Facebook that your instructor is back in the water. Which means from the date of being notified or it being posted on Facebook that your instructor is available you have 30 days to get your lessons rescheduled.

Water massages are now available thru Squid school.

Water massages last 30 to 60 minute, no swimming required and your face is kept out of the water. The massage is given partially by the movement of the water around your body and the physical touch of the massage giver  The giver and receiver are in close contact. All the receiver needs to do is lay back close your eyes and relax. The giver and receiver are typically silent during the massage. When possible the massage is done in warm water waist to chest deep. The massage is appropriate for all ages. This type of massage is appropriate for everyone from an infant's first introduction to the water, to people with water anxiety, fear of drowning, special needs, fragile skin including those where laying on a massage table would hurt, those who carry their stress in their muscles and so many more. 30 minute will be 35$, 45 minutes will be 45$ and 60 minutes will be 60$. Call or text 320-266-5733 with questions and or to schedule. We have 3 trained people and the first 15 clients for each one of us will get 30 minutes for 20$.
